It’s no secret we’re fans of the Front Row Boston television show, a new collaborative effort between WGBH, Crossroads Presents, and NPR that fuses live music footage with exclusive backstage interviews. One, we’re lazy and we can’t get to every show we want to these days (it only seems that way), and two, we had the pleasure in taking part in a few segments (Vanyaland managing editor Michael Christopher slung some questions at Greensky Bluegrass in the Paradise green room earlier this year).
The inaugural slate has brought us looks of everyone from the Dropkick Murphys to Typhoon, and now Season 1 comes to a close this Saturday night with a profile on Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit. The episode airs August 23 at 11 p.m. on WGBH 2 in Boston, and those around the world can watch online via frontrowboston.wgbh.org the day before. It’ll also appear on YouTube something this weekend, as well.
