They say the second album is the most difficult, and the same can be said for the second party. Tonight Britpop Social Club returns to Abigail’s Restaurant in Cambridge for our follow-up go-round to last month’s successful launch, and we’ve lined up another killer queue of Cool Britannia classics.
DJs Lady K and myself (Michael V, fresh off a few years as resident selector at the pill at Great Scott) will supply the tunes, Shave Media will provide the visuals across the walls, and . Abigail’s once again provides the forum, stocked with cocktails like the Stone Rose and the Shoegazer. Those travelling by public transport are urged to take the Red Line to the Kendall Square T stop (we’re up one block on 3rd Avenue) and those driving should park in the garage across the restaurant for validated rates (if you can’t find on-street accommodations).
