Watch two ladies fall in love as electro-pop duo Child Actor rally ‘Against The Night’

It’s been a white-hot minute since we last heard from Boston-slash-New-Haven electro-pop duo Child Actor. Last year Max Heath and Natalie Plaza released the Promise EP, and their cover of “Ordinary World” was so good, one of the dudes from Duran Duran favorited our promotional tweet about it.

Now, just in time for the season of sunlight, Child Actor are back with a new record, Never Die, out July 15. The new LP’s first slice of synth-pop heaven is served via “Against The Night,” a smoothed-out glitch ride that once again finds Plaza’s earthy vocals dancing effortlessly over Heath’s intricate electronic pop compositions. It’s pitch-perfect dream-pop for the digital age.

In the video, which premiered today via Hilly Dilly, two friends bond over the usual — late-night laundry, neon arcades, lazy mornings in bed — only to find something more than friendship. It’s some real heartwarming shit, and the tension builds beautifully between the two girls throughout the video, which was directed by Anthony Supreme.

“Against The Night” is also available for free download; click the link within the YouTube page.
