With a string of big-deal festival gigs on the summer horizon, New York post-punk band Interpol have announced a trio of Northeast “warm-up” dates. And it makes a pretty good effort to avoid Boston entirely, instead playing club shows in New Haven (CT), Providence (RI), and Burlington (VT).

Check out the just-announced dates below, which come just before appearances at Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, FYF Fest, and Austin City Limits Festival. These shows mark Interpol’s first United States dates in three years, in case you were wondering.
