A while back Mean Creek parodied Alanis Morissette’s iconic ’90s video “Ironic,” and word leaked that an upcoming video would depict the Boston band as tween kids rocking out in a garage. But here’s the sweet spot between carefully thought-out themes: new video for “Anxiety Girl” shows the band doing what they do best. And what they do best is rocking the fuck out.
“Anxiety Girl” was premiered today by Noisey and was crafted by Loroto Productions, shot at producer Chris McLaughlin’s 1867 Studios in Chelsea, Massachusetts. The track is the latest cut off their recent Local Losers LP, a hard-charging collection of rock and roll that clocks in at just more than 20 minutes.
Loroto and Mean Creek have worked together before, most notably on the band’s “Young & Wild” video, which has us looking back on our own youth with a mixture of regret and nostalgia.
