Three For All: With Await Rescue as the wild card, the 2014 Rock And Roll Rumble Final is set

After eight nights and 32 live performances, the 2014 Rock And Roll Rumble is now a three-for-all.

Semi-final wins by Petty Morals and Goddamn Draculas this past Thursday and Friday nights, respectively, set the framework for Friday night’s Final at T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge, and earlier tonight it was revealed tonight that Await Rescue have been named the wild card band. The announcement was made on Rumble organizer Anngelle Wood’s Boston Emissions show live on WZLX 100.7 FM.

The three advancing bands will be joined by special guest The Information, who are reforming after a several year absence. The Info made it to the Rumble semis in 2004, and the catchphrase “The Information is in the Rumble” was a sort of online meme before memes were actually a thing.

Below is how the night will shake out, sound wise.

More on last week’s semi-final shows to come sometime tomorrow. Catch up with our Halftime Report here, as well as our Nights 4, 5, and 6 recap here.
