Move over Dropkick Murphys, there’s a new Boston band hell-bent on “Going Out In Style.” And they are a psych-rock freakout called CreaturoS.
The noisy garage punk quartet born out of the ashes of Doomstar! have followed up October 2012 cassette Swampp Thingg with this hazy, new guitar-rock jam. It was recorded by Chris McLaughlin at Studio 1867 in Charlestown and mixed by McLaughlin and the band.
The accompanying music video was done by Boston/New York team Loroto Productions, who we all know from their visual work with Mean Creek, Earthquake Party, and Young Adults.
“Going Out In Style” has a bit of an early Black Rebel Motorcycle vibe to it. We dig.
“This is the first thing we’ve put out since our line-up change,” says guitarist Noah Bond, who moved over from drums after Dominic Mariano of Viva Viva and Skimask joined the band, rounding the four-piece out with Spenser Gralla on guitar/vocals and Joe Marrett on bass. “Basically we’ve been recording non-stop in a variety of places since SWAMPP THINGG. This is just a little taste of whats to come!”
The song is also available as a free download via the CreaturoS Bandcamp. Go get it!
