Butcher Billy strikes again. The Brazilian artist and designer — who we’ve hyped on these digital pages for his Reverse Music Icons Fandom project and the series where he merges Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho with KISS, David Bowie, and others — has now illustrated his very own “Reckless Club.”
It’s a take on the movie poster from the 1985 John Hughes classic The Breakfast Club, only in Butcher’s world it features Morrissey, Siouxsie Sioux, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, and Joy Division’s Ian Curtis.
We might just turn Vanyaland into the Butcher Billy fanzine.
This is amazing. It’s fun to think what each did to earn their detention. And who would play the role of Principal Richard Vernon? Maybe Tony Wilson?
