Last week’s broadcast of Miley Cyrus’ Unplugged special on MTV aired with the pop princess sharing the stage with Madonna for a mash-up of “Don’t Tell Me” and “We Can’t Stop.”
But apparently Cyrus didn’t stop there, coming back out for one last song — a cover of Arctic Monkeys’ “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High.” We knew MyCy enjoys a bit of that sweet, sweet izm, but we’re even more pleased to learn she has an appreciation for the fine work of Mr. Alex Turner.
Now that would be a power couple we’d like to see on the red carpet somewhere.
In the meantime, the Arctics are in Boston Thursday night for a gig at Agganis Arena. Maybe, oh just maybe, they’ll return the favor with their own cover on “Wrecking Ball.”
It’ll at least be better than Ron Jeremy’s.
