Jake Bugg might not be old enough to legally drink here in the States, but that’s not stopping his publicists from sending gun-shaped bottles of Mexican tequila to American radio stations.
Check out this Hyos de Villa pistol bottle, complete with 007-esque Bugg logo and the tagline “The Way The West Was Won.” It arrived at a US radio station just this morning, complete with Bugg’s new CD.
So that’s why Britpop failed in the US — not enough tequila bribes. Or guns.
Anyway, this is pretty cool, and if you’re not a fan of Bugg, the jokes about either wanting to shoot yourself or drink the pain away essentially write themselves.
Drink up, shoot up… and check out our version of the Bugg single “What Doesn’t Kill You,” which we slowed down 39%.
