Last year Nebraska’s Icky Blossoms taught us to “keep on dancing if the lights keep flashing.” This year, Sky Ferreira has taken the lesson to heart in her music video for “You’re Not The One,” the first cut off her upcoming LP Night Time, My Time, out October 29 via Capitol Records.
The song is a jangly electro-chamber pop jam that picks up where last year’s Ghost EP left off. In the video, Sky writhes around under the flashing lights, until she finally awakens in some lonely, empty field. We assume it’s not Saugerties, New York, where Ferreira and her boyfriend, DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith, were arrested on drug charges September 14.
As Ferreria wakes up in the field, so does the dude she was dancing for. Keep the film rolling for the daytime plot-twist.
