[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s been over five years since we last heard new music from Pete Doherty’s post Libertines outfit Babyshambles. Now the band is back with a third studio album, Sequel To the Prequel. Sequel’s first single “Nothing Comes To Nothing” is typical Doherty. If you’re a fan of his musical output, you will dig this song. Admittedly, it’s not a strong single but the video is an entertaining mix of various clips – live shows, backstage antics, life on the road, etc. This is a tune for those craving Libertines nostalgia.

The band was formed by Pete Doherty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) during a hiatus from his former band The Libertines, but Babyshambles has since become his main project. As of 2012 the band includes Mick Whitnall (lead guitar) Drew McConnell (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Jamie Morrison (drums, percussion).
