[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ackson Phillips and Kevin Friedman started collaborating together as Carousel in 2011 while studying at Berklee College of Music. The duo first caught our attention with “Stay Awake,” a synth-pop lullaby track that found its way on both the Allston Pudding mixtape series and my daily playlists on WFNX’s Boston Accents. Last spring, the electro-pop duo graduated and relocated to Los Angeles, and earlier this month released the Palms EP. Our fave track off that sterling synthpop joyride is “Another Day,” a spring-kissed pop jam that would improve FM radio instantly with its inclusion.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he members of Carousel began writing and producing music together in late 2011. Since finishing Berklee College of Music in the Spring of 2012, the group has moved from Boston to Los Angeles, where they continue to write, produce, and perform their music.
