[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ost amid the summer’s blurred lines and sleepless nights trying to get lucky was what should have been the J A M of the season. Or, maybe it was. Australian electronic pop duo Empire of the Sun took their sweet-ass time following up 2008’s Walking on a Dream, but in the end it was worth it; Ice On The Dune is a monster record, and the anthemic “Alive” was the perfect primer for its beautifully bloated ambition. But it was just the tip of the Ice-berg – our favorite track on the album, and maybe of the year, is “Concert Pitch.” Catch Empire of the Sun live at the House of Blues on September 7.
