The Chariot announce farewell tour; fan puts Bowery Boston rock clubs on notice

Well this is enough to ruin the weekend of those who probably didn’t have plans, anyway: Georgia-based Christian mathcore veterans the Chariot have broken up via YouTube video this afternoon, announcing the All’s Well That Ends Well farewell tour. And understandably, the internet is all shaken up.

There’s already a few hundred YouTube comments from fans super bummed out about this news, but someone in that discussion made maybe the best threat of 2013: “[I]f they don’t burn the balconys off the Sinclair or the Royale in Boston. I’m going to cry harder then I ever have or will,” writes “TheNotSo PopularCulture”.

Damn. They haven’t even announced the farewell shows yet, but fire or tears — one of them is headed Bowery Boston’s way (if they even book the show).

“Thank you,” reads the Chariot’s final message. “To everyone on this planet Earth that has ever supported us, helped us, watched us, hung out with us, given us a place to stay, given food, prayed over us, loaned us equipment, advised us, booked us, or given us a chance, no matter how big or small…we are forever grateful.”

Speaking of that promised farewell tour, the Chariot will hit the road one last time from October 10 to November 16, though no dates — or venues, ahem — have been announced. The goodbye tour will feature Rebuker, To The Wind, Birds In Row, and Glasscloud.

Long live.
