Moniker might be the most polished of all the bands taking part in the first-annual Boston Fuzzstival, but that doesn’t mean the prog rock trio will feel out-of-place on stage tomorrow evening at the Middle East. Their latest track “Of Glaciers,” out this week and Moniker’s first release since last year’s Ansible and Work in Prague EPs, is a moody, textured, six-minute psych rumbler that was partially recorded at DIY space Wadzilla Mansion in Allston. It’ll serve as a nice transition during their Fuzzstival set between the Fagettes and Guillermo Sexo.
Check out the track below, then peep the full list of set times for the Fuzzstival, which kicks off with a free and all-ages slate at the Mid East’s corner bar at 2pm, showcasing new and up-and-coming acts like Winter, Ghost Modern, and Boogie Boy Metal Mouth. Four hours later, things head downstairs for the main event, headlined by Ghost Box Orchestra. Grab the full rundown of times after the Moniker embed, and for a full playlist of 12 of the Fuzzstival bands, stream our mix at the end of this post or on the Vanyaland homepage.
