British rock upstarts PALMA VIOLETS made their stateside debut at a WFNX-presents show at the Middle East in Cambridge back in January, and now the gritty quartet return with a 23-date North American tour this fall. The date of note for us around the Boston-area: a September 30 dance at The Sinclair in Harvard Square, located a short T ride from where their first gig on this continent went down several months ago.

The Violets, who have been getting not-unfit comparisons to the Libertines, are coming to our side of the Atlantic to support their debut LP, 180, which is out now via Rough Trade. The smoky, jangly “Best of Friends” was named the best song of 2012 by the NME, and you are more than welcome to sample it below after perusing the band’s full North America run, as well as some summer festival dates for those with road-trip itches.
