By now, everyone knows the bands playing the sold-out BOSTON CALLING music festival at City Hall Plaza next weekend. Hell, we even had a general idea of the order of performances, something often ascertained by the way bands are listed on the posters (Unlike Coachella and others, however, BosCal gave us no “diminishing font” clues).
But late last night festival organizers unveiled the times for each performance, and things flow pretty well (see the flyer above, dirr). There are two stages, but aren’t any “ZOMG conflict what band do I catch?!?” issues, so anyone going should be able to catch all nine bands playing each day. Just turn n’ twirl.
What am I looking forward to the most? St Lucia on Saturday at 2pm, Marina & the Diamonds later that day at 7:45pm, and of course, the National’s headlining performance Sunday night at 9pm. Also excited to catch two Boston acts opening each day: Bad Rabbits’ get-the-funk-up kickoff set on Saturday, and Caspian’s religious sermon first thing Sunday.
Gonna sleep all day on Memorial Day, fo’sho.
Only VIP passes, both single day and weekend, are available for Boston Calling, May 25 and 26 at City Hall Plaza, starting at $150.
