This Show Is Tonight: Isabel LaRosa continues an ascent in Allston

Courtesy of Crossroads Presents

We warned everyone back in May that Massachusetts was getting a quick glimpse at the future of alt-pop when Isabel LaRosa appeared at the Kiss 108 Kiss Concert down in Mansfield alongside Doja Cat, Jason DeRulo, Shinedown, and others. And around that time, LaRosa announced a club tour, which we immediately placed on the calendar.

Now getting a proper up-close view of the viral sensation as the teenage Cuban-American artist from Maryland performs live this evening (September 17) at a very sold-out Brighton Music Hall in Allston.

LaRosa first blew up on TikTok, where her cinematic songs earned a massive following, and now enjoys more than 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Her pulsating August single “Pretty Good” is a certified club bop that has helped further her star ascent.

“My music seems to create a dark, emotional, but also powerful world,” LaRosa tells The Luna Collective. “I want people to be able to feel a part of the sonic world through applying their own experiences to the feeling it brings them. The visual atmosphere is a dark, slightly menacing world that we’ve only seen the surface of. Every song just uncovers another layer.”
