With a hot summer on the horizon, our weather experts are predicting it could be a significant one for hurricanes along the southern half of the East Coast. But nothing can prepare us for a “HERicane,” the vibrant new single that just dropped from the musical mind of Lucky Daye. The American singer-songwriter from New Orleans, born David Debrandon Brown, has a busy year ahead, with new album Algorithm due in June and a summer tour that comes to Citizens House of Blues in Boston on August 6. Lucky Daye will bring a bit of New Orleans heat with him to the Northeast, showcasing his widescreen brand of R&B-pop, a blend of funk, soul, and whatever else to craft an intoxicating cocktail of cool. He’ll make this our very own Lucky Daye with ease. Tickets go on sale Friday (May 3) at 10 a.m. local time.
