We still haven’t gotten over “you should see me in a crown”, Billie Eilish’s 2018 Song of the Year Contender that’s helping expose the 16-year-old pop star to a whole new (read: older) demographic. But Eilish runs shit on her own schedule, and today (October 8) has unveiled the video for ‘hostage’, a deeper cut from her 2017 debut EP dont smile at me. The track is a collaboration between Eilish, Stromae & Luc Junior Tam (a.k.a. Mosaert), and Henry Scholfield. “It was a dream for me to get to work with everyone involved,” Eilish says. “I was a big fan of Stromae and I was blown away with the treatment and vision he, his brother, Luc Junior Tam, and Henry had for this song, which perfectly matched the thoughts behind the lyrics.” Eilish will also be making her daytime television debut on October 10 when she performs ‘you should see me in a crown’ live on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Her tour, which kicks off 10 days later, is completely sold out.
