Editor’s Note: We warned y’all about the fake blood. Los Angeles’ glammed-out youth brigade Starcrawler rolled into Great Scott last night (February 13), and let’s face it — anytime you can find yourself in an Allston venue with a glittery cod piece staring right back at you, your Tuesday night is going alright. Even better if it’s Valentine’s Day Eve. But just as much substance as style, Starcrawler brought the musical ruckus to town, showing off their recent self-titled LP, and their homage to ’70s rock and roll and an excess that spans decades certainly did not disappoint. John Hutchings was in the room — and within singer Arrow de Wilde’s blood-shot range and guitarist Henri Cash’s magnetic flash — on behalf of Vanyaland, and you can scan through his full gallery below, which gets more intense as the show went on. Keep it moving for a few snaps of openers Sundown Club, as well.
