Editor's Note: While the Rat reunion was raging down the avenue, the dream of Boston's '90s indie rock heyday was alive and well last night (November 16) at The Paradise Rock Club. The reformed and recharged Letters To Cleo kicked off the first of their three night-stand with Blake Babies at the 'Dise, busting out 1993 debut album Aurora Gory Alice in its entirety. The series continues tonight and Saturday, with Kay Hanley and crew performing 1995 LP Wholesale Meats and Fish and 1997's Go!, respectively, each night aligned with the vinyl re-issues of their three studio albums. Matthew Shelter was in the room on behalf of Vanyaland to capture some visuals of Letters To Cleo and Blake Babies -- shout out to the BAMFs leading both bands -- and you can scan through his full gallery below.
