When T.T. The Bear’s Place announced its final week of shows earlier this month, there was one big gaping hole in the jam-packed schedule: Saturday, July 18.
We were told that one of the bands playing Fenway Park that night might be making a special appearance to help send off the closing Cambridge rock club, and now that news is confirmed — the Mighty Mighty Bosstones are throwing down this Saturday.
“We are thrilled to be able to participate in celebrating and thanking the good people of T.T.’s for all they’ve given to us and our city over the years,” the Bosstones said. They are expected to hit the stage at 11 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and only available online through Emporium of Pop Culture.
Earlier that evening, the Bosstones are playing Fenway with Mission of Burma and the Foo Fighters. Maybe they’ll bring Dave Grohl over to Central Square afterwards. Here are details:

There are NO physical tickets for this show. Purchaser’s name will be on the 737 list at the door on the night of the show. You must present legal ID at the door. ID must match the name of the purchaser. Non-transferable.
The Bosstones gig follows the Pixies show last month as some of the big-ticket performers playing the 330-person venue. The last show at TT’s arrives July 25 and features Scruffy the Cat, O Positive, Willie Alexander, and Randy Black & The Heathcroppers.
