Justin Hawkins of 2000s glam rock band the Darkness is selling some of his flamboyant stage attire. The singer has posted a variety of items on eBay, including “Jump Suit Black faux Leather with REAL STUDS!” That’s currently going for around $723.
From the NME: “The singer, known for his leather jumpsuits and flamboyant attire, is auctioning off a collection of his wardrobe because his house is ‘full of them.’ Taking to Twitter, Hawkins said: ‘I still love these outfits, but I’m not going to wear them again!'”
Half of the proceeds, the singer says, will go to the Mayhew Animal Home in London.
The last Darkness record, Hot Cakes, came out in 2012, and Hawkins’ tweets suggest new music could be soon on the way. The musician also co-wrote a track on Weezer’s recent album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End. The band are probably best known for their 2003 hit, “I Believe In A Thing Called Love.”
We’re sure this parting between frontman and his wonderful threads is not easy.

It's fun to watch my Darkness stage clothes auction. The value of the trousers seems to increase in increments of about 5 pence. Aces!
