[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nd then there were eight. After six nights of pretty exhilarating preliminary week action at T.T. The Bear’s Place, the Rock And Roll Rumble field is down to eight remaining bands. Curator Anngelle Wood unveiled the two wild card winners this evening on Boston Emissions on WZLX 100.7 FM, setting the lineups and rounding out the two four-band semi-final nights that go down this Thursday and Friday.
The winners of Nights 4 to 6 will play on Thursday, April 18, and the winners from Nights 1 to 3 will throw down on Friday, April 19. Two wild cards, the runners-up bands with the highest score from Nights 1 to 3 and Nights 4 to 6, respectively, will round out the bills.
Those bands? Power rock duo When Particles Collide rep Maine and New Hampshire and take the first wild card slot, and rock powderkeg Feints grab the second.
Here’s how the schedule breaks down so far, with Bandcamp embeds to get a sense of how the nights will sound. Check out our Rumble Halftime report for a recap of Nights 1 to 3, and our round-up of Nights 4 to 6 shenanigans here.
