[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ackson Phillips and Kevin Friedman started collaborating together as Carousel in 2011 while studying at Berklee College of Music. The duo first caught our attention with “Stay Awake,” a synth-pop lullaby track that found its way on both the Allston Pudding mixtape series and my daily playlists on WFNX’s Boston Accents. Last spring, the electro-pop duo graduated and relocated to Los Angeles, and earlier this month released the Palms EP. Our fave track off that sterling synthpop joyride is “Another Day,” a spring-kissed pop jam that would improve FM radio instantly with its inclusion.
