Last week Katy Perry debuted her new song, “Chained To The Rhythm,” with mixed results. The reggae-tinged single was written with Sia and Max Martin and featured a collaboration with Bob Marley’s grandson, Skip. Tonight at the GRAMMYS, Perry played it live for the first time, and clips of the performance can be viewed below.
During a show that has not had many political statements, Perry delivered a couple. She wore an armband that flashed “PERSIST”, a nod to Massachusetts Senator Liz Warren, and she finished the song standing in front of a massive projection of the United States Constitution. She also wore a pantsuits, so you know what that means.
