Cue “Latino & Proud” and get ready to blaze it, because yesterday Comedy Central released some Broad City news that could only warrant one response: a hearty “duuuuude.” The fourth season of the popular NYC-based feminist sitcom will air in August 2017, according to the show’s social media accounts.
The comedy show originally started as a webseries created by real-life best friends Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, and was picked up by Comedy Central in 2014. This year, the third season aired in February, and Rolling Stone named the show of the “100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.” The ladies’ feminist, frenzied blunt-rolling legacy continues with 10 additional episodes next summer.

When we left Jacobson and Glazer at the end of season three, the best buds (heh) were being escorted home from their trip to Israel after Glazer’s attempt to hand-make a tampon on a plane was mistaken for a making a bomb. For those unfamiliar with the show, the scenario is pretty typical of the duo’s shenanigans — all that’s missing is some allusions to smoking weed and Glazer’s wacky slang (examples include “reduce, reuse, recycle, Rihanna!” and “in da clurb, we all fam”).
As Glazer explains in the announcement video: “We’re coming in hard and raw in August/late summer.”
The show also just announced an accessory collaboration with Fab and released its first soundtrack in October. For all of these reasons, we can confirm that 2017 is going to be #LIT.
