Like most of us, Violent Femmes are currently engulfed in a post-Newport Folk Festival glow. Unlike the rest of us, the legendary guitar-pop band will continue to hit the road this fall, as their North American tour now extends through October.
And included in their fresh batch of dates is an October 7 appearance at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. The Femmes will kick off this latest run, still in support of March album We Can Do Anything, September 24 at the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, Tennessee, and wrap up at California’s Beach Goth fest on October 22. All ticket info can be found here, and more dates are expected to be announced soon.
In late June, Violent Femmes released their latest single, “Issues”, and you can watch that below, as well as relive their entire Newport Folk Festival set via the NPR embed.
