Atlantic Hops: Trophy Lungs announce European tour with Belgium punks You Nervous

Europe is getting a heavy dose of Boston rock and roll this year. A few weeks back we revealed that sludge slingers Gozu were hopping across the Atlantic for a string of Euro dates this fall, and this morning we’ve learned that Trophy Lungs are beating them to the punch.

The Boston punk band today revealed a two-week, 13-date European tour next month with Belgian punks You Nervous. The jaunt kicks off August 5 in Belgium (gotta pick up the dudes), and wraps August 20 in the Netherlands.

Trophy Lungs singer and guitarist Kevin Bogart is so exited he’s probably going to puke.

“This is definitely our first Euro tour, [so] I’d say I’m most stoked on playing Brakrock Fest in Belgium and playing with Joe McMahon from Smoke Or Fire in the Czech Republic,” he tells Vanyaland. “I’m least looking forward to flying, it’s literally the worst thing and I turn into a giant baby when on a plane. Europe can look forward to me throwing up as soon as I land.”

Check out all the dates below, in both list and flyer form, and revisit Trophy Lungs’ latest LP, last October’s still-excellent Day Jobs.
