Weezer stop covering Toto with new song 'Can’t Knock The Hustle'

Earlier this year Weezer covered “Africa” by Toto. We didn’t cover it, but you likely heard it anyway.
Today (October 11), Rivers Cuomo and dem boys return with an original (we think, kinda?) called “Can’t Knock The Hustle”, and it’s the first foray into a new era for the band. That era is “The Black Album era.”

Sounds dark but alright!
The video for “Can’t Knock The Hustle” stars Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz as a frustrated rideshare driver making the rounds. It was produced by Jerry Media (founded by @FuckJerry), and the expected hilarity does, in fact, ensue. The track was produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek.
The Black Album, meanwhile, will be out sometime in 2019, via Crush Music/Atlantic Records, and Weezer are once again hitting the road with the Pixies in the spring. There’s no Boston date on this new leg (there is a Foxwoods show!), but the pair of indie/alt-rock titans did drop by the XFinity Center in Mansfield over the summer, and you can read Victoria Wasylak’s review of those good times here.
