Last we caught up with Lainey Dionne, the whipsmart New England pop artist was busy taking on toxic relationships through the screen of a “Video Game.” Tonight, however, she’s in a much more pleasant — and real-life — setting, hosting and performing at the third installment of her Songwriters Showcase at Galactic Theatre in Warren in her native Rhode Island. Dionne will be joined by nine other songwriters, each performing a handful of acoustic songs after her set, which is likely to include her new single, the wonderfully-named trans-Atlantic love song “Two Weirdos.” Those taking part tonight are MATTA, Briana White, Morgan Johnston, Birch Swart, Telli Quinn, Anna Daley Young, Gordon’s Law, Kevin Kvien, and Dave Alves.
