TV Eyes: Depeche Mode resurrect ‘Ghosts Again’ on ‘The Late Show’

The Late Show / CBS

We’ve had a lot of Depeche Mode in our lives lately, and for good reason. The iconic synth-pop group have made a mighty return in 2023, led by haunting new single “Ghosts Again”, their finest effort in ages, a new album in Memento Mori that drops next month, and a global tour that plays Boston on Halloween night. It’s an impressive turn for a legendary band whose future seemed uncertain after last year’s sudden passing of co-founding member Andrew Fletcher. Last night (February 23), Martin Gore and Dave Gahan made their return to the late-night television circuit, performing the new hit and classic Violator-era track “Personal Jesus” on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Depeche Mode sound great; Depeche Mode look great; and Depeche Mode just feel great. Dive in to both performances below via our new TV Eyes series.
