Band in the USA: Sunny Day Real Estate reform for 2022 tour

Via United Talent Agency

The rising tide of a 2022 band reunion: First, the rumors; then, the festival; and finally, the full-on tour. We’re now firmly in that third stage, as Sunny Day Real Estate this week confirmed a North American tour that brings The Appleseed Cast along for all of the club dates. The influential emo band will tour around performances at September’s Riot Fest in Chicago and Furnace Fest in Birmingham, and play Boston’s House of Blues on October 2.

The tour is SDRE’s first in more than a decade, and will feature original members Jeremy Enigk, Dan Hoerner, and William Goldsmith, but not original bassist Nate Mendel. The band’s last album was 2000’s The Rising Tide, which capped off a four-LP run that began with 1994’s all-time classic Diary and included a self-titled record the following year and 1998’s How It Feels To Be Something On. Sunny Day Real Estate released a one-off track in 2014 on a split with Circa Survive called “Lipton Witch,” and it just feels like new music could soon be on the way.

The general on-sale for the club dates below is Friday (May 20) at 10 a.m. local time.
