Photo Gallery: Devendra Banhart and Black Belt Eagle Scout live in Boston

Editor's Note: There are few calming presences in music quite like Devendra Banhart. The beloved Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter and visual artist creates the type of folk music that consumes and unfolds, described oh-so-wonderfully by the New York Times as "a gifted fantasist, creating spider webs of acoustic guitar and vocals." It's rare we pull a quote about an artist from another publication, but that one sums things up nicely. Banhart was back in Boston last night (December 4), showing off new album Ma and more to an engaged crowd at The Wilbur. Vanyaland's María Alejandra Mata was on Tremont Street capturing visuals of Banhart's musical tavern, and you can view her full gallery, beginning with a few of opener Black Belt Eagle Scout, below.
