Say Lou Lou seal this Burt Bacharach cover with an electronic-pop kiss

We’ve been raising a glass to the alt-pop smarts of Say Lou Lou pretty much throughout this digital magazine’s existence. And we’re rarely disappointed. But the sister duo of Miranda and Elektra Jansson-Kilbey have one-upped their usual goodness, reaching a pretty sweet electro-pop cruising altitude this morning (November 15) with their cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s 1967 Dusty Springfield-sung classic “The Look Of Love.”

Say Lou Lou modernize the track with their own brazen flair, dousing it in glittery sugar and shaking it within a synth snow-globe, and the cover has enough warm emotion to get us through the coming winter.

“Say Lou Lou want to dance,” the sisters say. “We want to feel desire. We want to fall in love. ‘The Look Of Love’ is one of the most sensual love songs ever written. We took it to a dark dance floor somewhere where the past meets the future, and disco’d ’til morning.”

Seal it with a kiss.
