Sponsored by Studio 52. A community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Remember when Culture Abuse and Gouge Away threw down a kingsized good time in Cambridge back in October? It was so good we sent Barry Thompson to review it (and we only send Barry to review the real shit).

Well those two bands are back in our area, with Boston’s Fiddlehead and Politics of Jam, no less, for a free show hosted by Vans, who are throwing a country-wide series of pop-up events celebrating DIY culture. The Boston party goes down September 6 at Warehouse XI in Somerville’s Union Square, and word is artwork presented by Kenneth Fontaine, will also be displayed.

We’ll post more info on this show when we get it. In the meantime gaze at the Peter Maria flyer, press play on some Bandcamp action, and start making those post-Labor Day plans.
