ONCE Somerville hosted a Twin Peaks-themed bash in February, and now the Highland Avenue venue is prepping for another retro-noir party: A nod to Stranger Things named Stranger Sounds.
The half-party, half-dance-night runs from 8 p.m. to midnight this Saturday (August 17) with no cover in the lounge. Both DJ Flaccid and AC Wiley will be providing tunes on vinyl all evening, from standout songs in the series itself, to general ’80s staples.
As the duo of DJs explain it: “Get down in the upside-down.”
Albeit not billed as a costume party, the guest with the best Stranger-Things-inspired-outfit will take home a $50 gift certificate to Somerville’s own High Energy Vintage, so amp up those scrunchies, and stitch up a Scoops Ahoy uniform while you’re at it.
