Yeasayer venture into a wild world of CGI creature-pop on ‘Ecstatic Baby’

We’re just gonna be real for a moment: Yeasayer’s April single “Fluttering In The Floodlights” is the most slept-on jam of 2019 so far. We’re not exactly sure how this vibrant electronic-pop jam hasn’t become a certified mega-hit, but two tears in the bucket, fuck it, there’s just no accounting for the general public anymore.

The Brooklyn trio aren’t sweating it either, and to get us prepped for tomorrow’s (June 7) release of the band’s new album Erotic Reruns (on their own Yeasayer Records), we are presented with a new single and video for “Ecstatic Baby.” The song slings the spring-fling Yeasayer pop we’re all accustomed to by now, and the PandaPanther video is a CGI wonder world filled with insects, monsters, and creatures.

Right after Yeasayer drop Erotic Reruns, they hit New England for a pair of shows: June 12 at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; and a June 13 romp at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club.
