Some people love Adam Sandler. Some people love Halloween.

Those who love both are in for less of a trick and more of a treat, and should probably be in Marblehead this weekend.

Sandler’s production company Happy Madison is holding an open casting call for paid extras this Saturday (June 8) at the Marblehead Community Center in Marblehead. It goes down from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and seeking people of “all shapes/sizes” in age from 5 to 95.

The film Happy Madison is casting for appears to be Sandler’s new Netflix feature Hubie Halloween, described like this: “[A] good-natured but eccentric community volunteer finds himself at the center of a real murder case on Halloween night.”

The film’s synopsis, according to Danvers Patch, reads: “Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.”

Folks are asked to come dressed in Halloween attire — “Feel free to come in original costumes. Get creative,” reads the casting call flyer, posted below — and those who can’t attend can email a current photo of yourself, as well as your height, weight, and a description of your car, for some reason, to halloweenextras@gmail.com.

Danvers Patch also reports that the Danvers Zoning Board of Appeals approved two special permits this week for Hubie Halloween to film scenes in its town sometime between July 8 and August 30. The dates were kept vague to limit curiosity-seekers, Patch notes.
