Before they were Los-Angeles based duo YVR, songwriters Courtney Jenaé and Stephen Stahl were penning K-Pop… so, so much K-Pop. After making a career of writing tunes for groups like EXO and Girls Generation, the now-married duo have turned their focus — and pop-slinging skills — inwards, working as a team to release their first EP Night Days, out today (April 26).

Still, their brush with the exponentially popular subgenre shines through the six-track opus, highlighting the best of what makes pop music so damn confectionary to begin with.

“There are endless distractions during the day which is why our creative minds peak at night,” explains Jenaé. “Night Days is a collection of six songs that focuses on personal relationships and life experience. We poured ourselves into every lyric, melody and sound.”
