Acclaimed Australian alt-rock trio Middle Kids have a new EP coming out May 24 titled New Songs For Old Problems, and it’s already shaping up as something lovely. We got its first single “Real Thing” a few weeks back, a track that taps into our own “lifelong quest for meaning,” according to singer, guitarist, and songwriter Hannah Joy, and today (April 25) we are treated to another new track in “Beliefs and Prayers.” The song sounds holographic in nature, lyrically pointed at our divided times, and continues the band’s uncanny knack for writing instantly memorable guitar-rock songs. Listen to it below, and be sure to catch Middle Kids playing Boston May 30 and 31, when they open for Local Natives at the Paradise Rock Club.
