Before pronoun releases her debut album i’ll show you stronger next month, the Brooklyn-based Berklee grad wants to take you back to the splendid spot where the essence of pronoun herself first took form. Her new track “sadie,” released today (April 22), unfolds with lofty promise as it reaches back to singer Alyse Vellturo’s time in Austin, Texas circa 2016 with lush, layered guitar licks.
“I wrote this song skateboarding around SXSW 2016,” she says of the new tune. “I had just started the project and was meeting so many new people and musicians and everything was starting to fall in to place. I was so thankful and excited to start a new life and career on my own and leave everything I knew behind.”
