Yeasayer declare spring the season of the dance party

New Sounds: The Brooklyn band return with a vibrant new electronic-pop track called ‘Fluttering In The Floodlights’

The entire spring season ahead of us is going to be one long dance party, and now Yeasayer have thrown their beat into the mix. Today (April 10) the experimental rock band from Brooklyn detailed new album Erotic Reruns , which hits June 7 via their own Yeasayer Records, and set a dance-minded tone with new single “Fluttering In The Floodlights.”

The track takes what Wallows and Tame Impala have done with spring-fed modern disco tracks and filtered it through their own brand of paranoid pop. The end result is a smoother cruiser that should be played whenever there’s no roof above our collective heads.

Yeasayer will also head out on a 25-date summer tour, and we here in New England have two chances to twirl: June 12 at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and June 13 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. Tickets to all shows go on sale this Friday (April 12).
