Before NEON BLK shares her debut EP verbs with the world in April, the Boston-based project fronted by Dhy Edwardsberry is dropping its “anchor” in the scene a little early. Releasing her new track today (March 18), the former Radclyffe Hall frontwoman weaves whimsy with mesmerizing perspective over mellowed-out lyrics like “Growing up to just grow old / We leave our dreams in the cold.” Paired with the ghostly presence of “ride,” a more grim facet of NEON BLK, verbs seems ready to set sail across the whole span of human emotions. Catch “anchor” below, and hear all of Edwardsberry’s new music live on April 6 at Dorchester Art Project with Anjimile and Club of Atoms.
