The inaugural Humdinger featured Doll Skin, Wyves, Fairy Bones, Banana Gun, and more, and will operate on a monthly schedule

This past Saturday (February 23), Mesa Amphitheater welcomed the first monthly Humdinger Festival, a new local music showcase that welcomed 10 Phoenix-area bands and artists. February’s lineup included Jim Bachmann, The Pistoleros, Wyves, Fairy Bones, Bear Ghost, Doll Skin, Michael Nitro, Sara Robinson Band, Banana Gun, and The Runner Up. Attendance was impressive given the mix of genres, and the festival actually ran ahead of schedule — a welcome shift, as temperatures dropped quickly after the sun set. Organized by legendary concert promoter Danny Zelisko, the festival will return to the amphitheater on a monthly basis until June, with a new lineup each month. Check out images from all but one of the aforementioned bands performing at the inaugural Humdinger below.
