A.D.K.O.B. sketch out their faults in the jangly new track ‘Chalkline’

The single comes as the first glimpse at their forthcoming EP 'Nothing Is A Waste Of Time,' due out this May

According to A.D.K.O.B., “nothing is a waste of time” — not even dedicating three minutes and 19 seconds of your musical catalogue to the facepalm frustration of the inability to learn from your mistakes. Or, at least that’s what their new track “Chalkline” certainly implies.

The Aussie outfit, led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Mark Piccles, released the new song today (January 17), making it their first release in close to two years. “It’s a song about what it means to learn from mistakes,” says Piccles. “Or perhaps that sometimes you don’t learn at all.”

For a song that focuses mostly on berating yourself, though, hope slips through the jangly cracks: “Can’t hurt to try / Living the good life / Even if I’ve lost most of my mind,” he sings. A.D.K.O.B. lean into the good life this May with their second EP Nothing Is A Waste Of Time; in the meantime, follow their fault line to “Chalkline” below.
