LÉON can’t resist a bit of forbidden love on the slinky ‘Falling’

“Falling,” the latest slice of alt-pop wonder from Swedish singer LÉON, begins with a lyrical bit of BTDT: “Ever since you left me I’ve been dancing on my own,” Lotta Lindgren offers, “maybe down the line I’ll feel better all alone.” That may be so, but in the moment, her heart aches for the familiar warmth of a distanced lover, and we all can relate to having a hard time letting go of a lost love. The feeling of longing and ache sets the mood for “Falling”, a hazy number that further shapes her forthcoming self-titled debut album. That will drop sometime in 2019 via her own LÉON Recordings imprint in partnership with BMG. “It’s something I’ve had in my head forever, but didn’t bring to life until now,” LÉON says of the LP.” This cycle is very colorful. It’s different and bright…. I want people to listen and relate. If my music could be somebody’s soundtrack, that’d be amazing.” Hell, we’re texting our exes right now. Featured image via High Rise PR.
