The Joy Formidable and Tancred live at The Sinclair in Cambridge

Editor's Note: The weather has been quite blustery around Boston lately, but that torrent of sound that blasted through Cambridge last night (November 6) was not the result of Mother Nature. It was, in fact, the whirling guitar-rock of Welsh trio The Joy Formidable, who brought new album Aaarth and a bunch of other sonic loudness to The Sinclair in Harvard Square. Boston's always had a fantastic relationship with Ritzy Bryan, Rhydian Dafydd, and Matt Thomas, and the mutual love was on full display as the band ripped through new jams and their familiar hits for an energized crowd. Vanyaland's John Hutchings was inside the Cambridge joint to capture still visuals of it all, including a few of openers Tancred, and you can scan through his full gallery, in order or appearance, below.
